The Congress is a one day meeting, with high level discussions and workshops, based on many concrete examples, analytical data and models. Participants will not abstain from controversial insights and courageous recommendations for the implementation of new solutions.

The Congress started with presentations of national and European policies and strategies. Then we had three parallel sets of debates, divided into thematic groups:

  • Importance of the silver economy, finance, insurance, goods and services,
  • Active ageing, health, education, 50+ labour market, 65+ consumer market,
  • New technologies, construction, senior housing, health care facilities.

The conclusions of the discussions will be used to stimulate further action at all levels, including the EU level. After the Congress the organisers will prepare a summary containing the main outcome of the meeting and recordings of each debate.
